BEAUTY queen, Thabelo Ngatane on Saturday wowed audiences and judges at the ongoing Miss Culture Lesotho 2022 beauty pageant to secure a leading position in the first physical elimination round of the contest.

The physical round which was held at the AME Hall in Maseru in front of adjudicators accounts for 70% of the total score.
Ngatane’s overall score in the physical event was 59 out of 70, putting her ahead of Paballo Mokheseng at 49, Nthabeleng Molelengoane with her 45 and Limakatso Falatsa at 36.

“This means that if Ngatane could work harder on her popularity contest, she has a good chance of beating the other contestants in the next round, which began this week and ends in November, leading to the next physical contest,” says the director of the Film Sector Groundbreakers Lesotho, Aubrey Silinyana.
“Had Falatsa who is in fourth position not scored good points from the May 2021 Popularity Contest, she would have been among those who were eliminated from the first round of the race.
“You will remember that she worked hard and smart to be in third position in the Popularity Contest and finished with 3 743 votes for the month,” he says.
Falatsa did not perform as well as expected at the Physical Elimination Contest and failed to impress the judges.

As the popularity battle continues, the management of the pageant says M4,000 in cash prizes is up for grabs for the top three Miss Culture Lesotho female contestants.
“The coordinating team of the pageant wishes all the 26 Miss Culture Lesotho semi-finalists well, as they finally begin their last Popularity Contest. We trust that our 28 000 Facebook followers will continue to vote for them by liking or reacting to their posts,” Selinyana says.
Reatile Molefe is the reigning queen.
